asset title issue

Dear Team,hope you are doing well! We have issue when we upload the assets, when we upload assets in Bynder the asset title is showing “Untitled design - 1” instead of asset original name. we have followed the Bynder naming convention.please verify attached screen shot of the issue.

Hello Bynder DAM aficionados, I have a question regarding brand guidelines pages. Is there a way to add animations, fades, pop ups, and transitions to our pages? For example, when you scroll down through the page, the first image appears, then the text titles, and then the paragraph transitions? Wanted to build a better layout, let me know if you have any other tips.Best,Bennett

Newbie!

Hi Bynder Community - Newbie on the scene.  Looking forward to getting new insights, tips, and tricks.  One area I would like to immerse my Digital team in is any beneficial in-person seminars or events surrounding DAM.  We are fairly new to the playground, centralizing our assets and connecting them to our PIM and retailers.  Knowledge is power, and we want it!  Feel free to share any tips, tricks, trainings, seminars, podcasts, etc. you felt helped your company become more successful in this space.

Connect Brand Portal for Compact View not working in WordPress

Hi, I am working on a staging site (which is password protected at the moment) for a new news site. I am trying to test Bynder and made a new OAuth app similar to our existing live sites (berkeleyside.org, oaklandside.org), however when making a test post and tyring to access our Bynder assests via the compact view, the “enter your domain” field is disabled. I registered a new app in Bynder OAuth settings and added the domain there, and added the new clientID and secret to the WP settings page for Bynder, but that did not work. I read all the knowldege base articles I coudl find. I am wondering if this is because of the password protection on the staging site. Any ideas?I can’t enter anything in that field.

How to output retina images (2x) using DAT?

We need Bynder to have features to handle responsive image loading: anything like Device Pixel Ratio dpr (https://docs.imgix.com/apis/rendering/pixel-density/dpr) or https://docs.imgix.com/tutorials/responsive-images-srcset-imgixusing dynamic SRC sets. It would suck if we had to manually calculate doubling pixels for every one of our images because we want them to be 2x, not 1x. Can you help?

Metadata year

Hi, I am new supporting our team at Cityside Journalism and have a question about uploading items to Bynder. Apparently when an image is uploaded and metadata is entered manually, the Year field seems to max out at 2023.  Is there a reason why it does not include the current year? Before I explore further how to do this manually or through a custom metadata, I’d like to see if there is another solution. Thanks in advance.

Sort by date modified

Would love it if you could sort collections by date modified, would be super helpful when trying to find the most recent collection you added to. Date added is less helpful often than date modified which tells me more about what I’m currently using. Would also be happy to see that as a sort option in all the modules. Thanks!

Integrating Bynder API with python is not working "ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'bynder_sdk'"

Hi,I am trying use bynder sdk to integrate with my python project. I was able to install it into virtual environment successfully. Folders got created and it appears in pip list as well.But when i try access it in my python code, it errors out sayingModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'bynder_sdk' I need to integrate it with bynder at the earliest. Any solution/input/suggestion/recommendation is highly appreciated. Thanks.

Product Request for Analytics

Hi, currently we cannot filter by user groups in our Standard Analytics, only individual users. When reviewing Advanced Analytics, it appears that feature is also missing. Can filtering on user groups be added as a product request to Standard Analytics or at least Advanced Analytics.

Studio: Direct link to template categories

Is there a way to send people directly to a digital brand template or a category of digital brand templates? And can we make it so light users can see the categories to choose from without having to hit create new? Most of our users don’t understand there are so many to choose from and have to be instructed to click create new, it’s not intuitive. And it would be more enticing if they could see all the categories to choose from. Thanks!

Resend a User invite

Hi all, I need to resend a user an invite, however the RESEND EMAIL button doesnt appear when I follow the Knowledge Base instructions.Settings/Users & Rights/User ManagementSelect the UserSelect the pencil to edit which takes me to the user’s details but nowehere can I see a resend invite option.Hoping someone can advise. Many thanks

We are working on a requirement to do customized reports using Power BI using the Bynder BI Analytics API. Have anyone done this? and can you share the steps on how you were able to integrate Power BI to the Bynder APIs.

Google Drive - Metadata write back

Does the Google Drive integration also allow the metadata tags that are assigned to a specific file to be written back to that file within google drive?For example:  In a file that is a JPG image within google drive, would Bynder be able to write back any metadata attributes back to the image file in drive and place those details within the “details” field of the file?A sample set of metadata may be:Tier: PreferredMembership: ClientTerritory: TXConference: ISTE 2022

Better customization of notification emails for uploads

It would be great if it were possible to tell bynder that only one email per day is sent to the users/approval group and only if at least 1 asset has been uploaded that day. So it would be good to be able to set notifications only once a day. Problem: Currently you can't customize the email notifications from bynder that well. Whenever an asset is uploaded, our users who are in the approval group are notified. The problem with this is that very often on one day people upload around 50 or 100 assets within a few minutes. This means that all colleagues who are in the approval group always receive an email for each asset (and every user of the group). We therefore had to deactivate the notifications, because unfortunately they did not offer any added value here, but were rather frustrating.

Alpha autocomplete vs closest match to what I am actually typing is super annoying!

It is super frustrating how autocomplete doesn’t finish what I am typing but instead searches for the text I am typing and goes for the alpha-order tag that has those letters in it vs what is closest to what I am actually typing. For example, if I type “Survey” it will autocomplete to “Alumni Survey” since “A” is alpha first. This isn’t helpful, if I wanted to tag Alumni Survey I would have typed Alumni first. Often I hit return to autocomplete or accidentally click on the first option when I don’t mean to. It’s very rare that I wouldn’t get the exact word right, and in those instances I would rather it list those options last that match the word but don’t start like how I typed. Another example, when I type “Line”, “Application Deadline, Apply Online, License Pipeline” all come up before “Line” itself. See attached images.

Default Download when Derivatives enabled

If your portal is set up to create derivatives, then the blue download button on the single asset page's information pane defaults to "Download all files." Our DAM users would 9/10 times require the original asset, and in most cases, our derivatives are for use by downstream platforms automatically picked up in the back end by our API. The option to have the default download setting on the single asset page information pane set to "Download file" instead of its current "Download all files (9)" initiating the download of all our nine derivatives would be a more logical workflow for our users. (Please refer to the screen grabs.)  Have other Bynder customers found this to be the case, and has there been any other feedback regarding this current functionality state?

Extract the GPS information

Hi all,Does any know how get the photos’s GPS information (in the Exif, latitude, and longitude) via API? When I used the WebUI to upload the photos, it auto mapped in the Map/GPS columns in Bynder. However, I cannot find it from the API return.Cheers

Rotate assets in studio

Hi, Anyone else experiencing the same issues in studio re being able to rotate images? Apparently you can only do so in the editor tool which is for an admin/creator. But for a user, it’s not allowed. Kind of silly if you ask me! I’ve had to encourage our users to do it via an external program and reupload the asset. If anyone has found a better way to do it, that would be great. But otherwise, I’d love to see something as simple as this be included in a product development. Thanks!

Massuploader - include the function realted assets

Hi together,it would be very helpful if you can also use the Related Asset function when doing a mass upload. That is, we would like to have the function that we already specify in the CSV file which of the images are in turn related during the upload. Maybe others in the community feel the same way? I would be happy if the topic could perhaps be developed.Thanks in Advance. :)

Bynder API isPublic not updating

Hi, we are using the Bynder API to pull PDFs to our website. It’s been working fine but we set up a new user ‘Level 4’ and for some reason even though the PDF ‘Usage Rights’ is set to Public the ‘original’ link is not showing in the API. When I check this Asset in Postman it’s showing ‘isPublic=0’ when it should be 1. Earlier I checked Level 4 user permissions and ‘mark assets as public’ was not selected. Which is weird because the person had marked them as public already. Anyways, I checked this box but it didn’t make a difference. Bottom line is I have the Asset set to Public but in the API it still says isPublic=0. Can someone let me know if I’m missing something here?

Text Boxes in Studio

It’s driving my team crazy that the text boxes we create in Studio have no control over how much text people who customize the text can put in it. They can just keep adding and adding way beyond the confines of the text box. I can’t imagine a circumstance where that is helpful versus allowing us to control how much text goes in a template like it used to do in digital brand templates. As you can see below the text shouldn’t be able to go over the space for the generic sponsor logo or over the lines on the bottom. I know there is a workaround where you can make a mask so text would disappear if it is too long, but that feels like a whole lot of work for something that should be automatic, just confine them to the text box we create! Would love to be given more control over this soon, thanks!
