Retaining Metadata on Derivative Downloads

As a main goal of our use of DAM is asset protection, I’m confused as to why downloads of derivative sizes from the Bynder asset bank don’t retain any of the embedded metadata. They do retain the keywords/tags, but none of the creator or copyright information (copyright being one of the more concerning fields). Is this a bug, or is this the way the system is meant to function?

Thank you for taking the time to ask your question @Megan_Conway! Indeed, you are correct that currently, when derivatives are downloaded, they do not retain ALL the embedded metadata from the original file. While it requires setting up you can set metadata configuration upon download via portal settings "Embedded metadata configuration". You can find out more about that on the knowledge base article here. In the meantime, I will submit your insights as a feature request on your behalf
