Simplifying iPhone image uploads for Sales (metadata + Bynder Waiting Room)

Hi everyone,

We’re trying to simplify how our Sales team shares images taken on their iPhones. Due to heavy tagging requirements and general unfamiliarity with the tool, using the Bynder web interface feels like a lot of extra work (opening a browser, clicking through multiple steps), which slows adoption.

At a minimum, we need to capture:

  • Image

  • Location taken

  • Product name

Ideally, Sales could submit images quickly (with minimal data entry), and our team would enrich metadata later in the Bynder Waiting Room.

We’re considering a few options (Bynder app, email intake, or SharePoint upload), but each has challenges around keeping the image and metadata together when pushing assets into Bynder.

Questions:

  • Has anyone implemented a lightweight, mobile-friendly intake workflow for Sales or field teams?

  • Have you successfully used email, SharePoint, Power Automate, or another tool as a front door into Bynder?

Any tips or examples would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi Camilla,

Responding here for visibility.

What about the following Bynder app workflow:

  • The Workflow: Sales shares the photo from their iOS Gallery directly to the Bynder App.

  • The Benefit: You can configure a specific Upload Profile for the Sales team that only shows two mandatory fields (Product and Location).

iPhones automatically embed Location Data into the image's EXIF metadata. You can configure Bynder to automatically map EXIF "GPS Latitude/Longitude" to a metadata field. This removes "Location" from the Sales team's to-do list entirely.

The asset will be uploaded into the waiting room where it can be enriched and approved by the admin/regular users.
