Change Bynder UI Component Add Asset button text

Hi, I’m working on embedding the UI component (https://developer-docs.bynder.com/ui-components) into my website, however, I want to change the text of the “Add asset” button for something more suitable for my use case, like “Download asset”. I checked the documentation and didn’t find an option to do so. Would it be possible to change it?

Is there a way to see group content access

We use groups to control what content users can see or not see. But sometimes it can be hard to tell what that breakdown is. It is easy to see what permissions are assigned to each profile under the permission management section, but Is there something similar for Groups? Someplace where I could see what metaproperties are set for each group? If not, that would be extremely helpful in managing access to content at the group level and being able to quickly see what has been set rather then trying to guess and hunt within each metaproperty.

Need the ability to delete contextually inaccurate auto (ai) tags (feature request)

While the auto-tagging feature is helpful overall, it often applies tags that are contextually inaccurate, which negatively impacts search accuracy.For example, we have a beer called "Pilsner", but when users search for it, the results include any beer labeled as a pilsner-style (like Miller Lite - because the word “pilsner” is on the packaging), even if it's not the specific product they're looking for. This causes confusion and erodes trust in the system's ability to return relevant results.We need the ability to manually delete or override AI-generated tags when they are not relevant. This would help us maintain more accurate metadata and ensure a better user experience.

I wish we could choose our preference for how search results are ordered

Search results default as “order by” relevance - the relevance order doesn’t work well for our content, and often serves up search results that are not relevant at all.  I would like to set my search results to default to “most recent” they are the assets the majority of our end users are looking for.  Is this something we can enhance in the future to choose our default results order?

Webhook message for video asset

Hi all,Looks like for video assets, the message sent to a webhook endpoint contains only a link to original file and urls for additional derivatives are not available.Does anybody know - could it be somehow configured or this is by design?Thank you!

Waiting Room - no visibility to archive dates in review/audit (feature request)

Currently, when reviewing metadata in the waiting room, there is no visibility of the archive date set by the uploader. This lack of visibility leads to duplicative and time-consuming efforts during the review and approval process. Including archive dates in the waiting room review would be incredibly helpful. Archive dates are one of the most important pieces of information captured during the upload process, as there can be significant down-stream legal implications if they are not completed or completed incorrectly.

Natural Language Search - causing confusion, not generating results

We would like the option to hide the natural language search feature from our end users or, at the very least, place it in a less prominent location. The current placement of the button in the search bar is quite distracting. Our end users often activate this feature, find no results, and are unaware that they are searching using natural language. This has led to considerable confusion and numerous questions, especially given our large user base. Ideally, the search functionality should be able to handle both keyword and natural language searches without requiring a toggle. Until this is possible, the ability to hide the natural language search feature (without turning off facial recognition, similarity search, and other features) would significantly reduce the number of questions and concerns from our users.

Reporting metrics on home page engagement (feature enhancement request)

We would like to gain insights into how our end users are interacting with the home page. Specifically, we want to know if the sliders and tiles that we frequently update are effectively driving users to the highlighted assets. Having detailed reporting on home page clicks would be incredibly helpful in understanding user engagement and optimizing our content strategy.

Add search filters narrow down automatically via SDK/API similar to the asset bank

Hello!  We are using Bynder's SKD to integrate with our website. It works very well but there is a big limitation... unlike the Bynder application itself, we can't use the automations which makes the filters in the web integration unusable. Is this something that will be considered in the next improvements? Unfortunately, if this functionality is added, the API loses a lot.... Thanks!

Assistance Required: Handling Metadata in Workflow for Specific Assets

Hi Team,Good day!I have a question regarding workflow and its related metadata properties based on a scenario I encountered while working on a project.Scenario Details:A new workflow job has been created, specific to one request. The job involves two assets: Asset 1: Front (view of the front page). Asset 2: Back (view of the back page). Metadata properties: Count 5: Common metadata properties for both assets. Count 3: Metadata properties with different values for each asset (e.g., color). Challenge:I understand the limitation where metadata properties in a workflow job are applied uniformly to all assets. When assets are sent to the "Assets" space in Bynder, the same metadata values are assigned to both assets, making it impossible to differentiate values for shared metadata properties within the same job.Request:I’d like to explore alternative approaches to meet this requirement, such as:Modifications or configurations within the current workflow to allow different metadata values

Thumbnail information

Hello,For people who use their DAM on their CMS, I'd like to know how you identify linked assets.What would be interesting would be to have information on the image telling us that this asset is linked. A bit like the text box that appears on the thumbnail of an archived or limited image.We could have information like this: “online” “web”...What do you think?This way, we know that the image is online, and perhaps avoid unwanted deletion.

new feature idea for collections

I've experienced the power of dynamic collections in a previous DAM. Instead of manually adding assets, you define filter criteria, and any new asset matching those parameters automatically populates. This automation was incredibly efficient. Implementing a similar feature in Bynder would be a game-changer, especially for dynamically updating landing page content. Wonder if this is anywhere on the roadmap?

We currently use gather content for our content workflows and would like to integrate with AEM Cloud for content integration. I don’t see any connector details in the documentation and its availability. Does anyone know if the connector is available for AEM Cloud?

Content workflow and wordpress plugin

A potential client is looking in to using bynder, and i have been asked to look at the plugin for content workflow and see if its viable for there current website. And have a couple of question, and hopefully someone could shed some light on them for me please.As all the content ( posts )is currently on the site, is there a way to import all this into bynder on initial set up?With the ACF field selection the plugin offers, will this work if field groups have been created pragmatically in code( PHP )? ie acf_add_local_field_group or do they have to be created in the UI of ACF.Any help would be greatly receivedMany Thanks

Currently, when an asset in Bynder is updated with new versions, the data continues from version 1 to the final version, offering a consolidated view of asset performance. However, it would be beneficial to track usage of each version and then overall asset performace. Can someone share with me a real life example of how webhooks is used? The documentation seems like you can send an alert to a system about assets being uploaded, but you can’t send alerts about specific assets? Thank you

How common are custom CDNs?

Your portal needs to be set up with a custom CDN in order to use the Universal Compact View component, as noted here:https://support.bynder.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013871340-Quick-Start-Guide-for-Universal-Compact-ViewHow common is it for customers to use a custom CDN?Is there an issue with the default CDN (Bynder’s AWS Cloudfront) that would prevent Universal Compact View from functioning?thank you

Anyone want a FirstUp integration?

My organization uses an internal employee communications platform called FirstUp. (Firstup: The First Intelligent Communication Platform) I don’t see a Bynder integration for it. Anyone use FirstUp or can share their workflow for ideas for otherwise connecting FirstUp to our DAM?

Do you know if there has been a fix yet for PDF's in Bynder that have links to open in new window automatically for improved UI?

Description of issue: Open a Bynder PDF that has links embedded, the links do not open in new window, but do if document is original on computer. So expected behavior is not the same once loaded in Bynder and shared using asset link viewing in browser. Issues when opening a link on page 20 of PDF, then having to hit back button to get back to Bynder PDF doc and it starts at the top of the document vs if PDF ink opened in new browser window, the PDF reading place on page doesn’t change and user can continue reading easily, clicking on links related to subject area of document.Simply, can you automatically have PDF links open in new window.Thank you so much.

Connector using Google Cloud Platform?

A few questions:Is there a Bynder connector that can use Google Cloud Platform as the middleware? I have some properties I need to fill out in the PIM system I want to connect to.  it’s asking for the “Client ID” and the “Client Secret”?  Can anyone explain what these properties are and where I might find the values for them?Thanks!
