Assistance Required: Handling Metadata in Workflow for Specific Assets

Hi Team,Good day!I have a question regarding workflow and its related metadata properties based on a scenario I encountered while working on a project.Scenario Details:A new workflow job has been created, specific to one request. The job involves two assets: Asset 1: Front (view of the front page). Asset 2: Back (view of the back page). Metadata properties: Count 5: Common metadata properties for both assets. Count 3: Metadata properties with different values for each asset (e.g., color). Challenge:I understand the limitation where metadata properties in a workflow job are applied uniformly to all assets. When assets are sent to the "Assets" space in Bynder, the same metadata values are assigned to both assets, making it impossible to differentiate values for shared metadata properties within the same job.Request:I’d like to explore alternative approaches to meet this requirement, such as:Modifications or configurations within the current workflow to allow different metadata values

Webhooks example

Can someone share with me a real life example of how webhooks is used? The documentation seems like you can send an alert to a system about assets being uploaded, but you can’t send alerts about specific assets? Thank you

How common are custom CDNs?

Your portal needs to be set up with a custom CDN in order to use the Universal Compact View component, as noted here:https://support.bynder.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013871340-Quick-Start-Guide-for-Universal-Compact-ViewHow common is it for customers to use a custom CDN?Is there an issue with the default CDN (Bynder’s AWS Cloudfront) that would prevent Universal Compact View from functioning?thank you

Content Workflow (Gather Content) connector for AEM Cloud CMS

We currently use gather content for our content workflows and would like to integrate with AEM Cloud for content integration. I don’t see any connector details in the documentation and its availability. Does anyone know if the connector is available for AEM Cloud?

My organization uses an internal employee communications platform called FirstUp. (Firstup: The First Intelligent Communication Platform) I don’t see a Bynder integration for it. Anyone use FirstUp or can share their workflow for ideas for otherwise connecting FirstUp to our DAM?

Do you know if there has been a fix yet for PDF's in Bynder that have links to open in new window automatically for improved UI?

Description of issue: Open a Bynder PDF that has links embedded, the links do not open in new window, but do if document is original on computer. So expected behavior is not the same once loaded in Bynder and shared using asset link viewing in browser. Issues when opening a link on page 20 of PDF, then having to hit back button to get back to Bynder PDF doc and it starts at the top of the document vs if PDF ink opened in new browser window, the PDF reading place on page doesn’t change and user can continue reading easily, clicking on links related to subject area of document.Simply, can you automatically have PDF links open in new window.Thank you so much.

Connector using Google Cloud Platform?

A few questions:Is there a Bynder connector that can use Google Cloud Platform as the middleware? I have some properties I need to fill out in the PIM system I want to connect to.  it’s asking for the “Client ID” and the “Client Secret”?  Can anyone explain what these properties are and where I might find the values for them?Thanks!

Have live links in Print Brand Template PDFs

It would be great if we could have live links in our Print Brand Templates. A lot of our staff create PDFs with the purpose of emailing them and they need to have live links in there. Is this something Bynder is looking to add? I would also say having them on Digital Brand Templates could help, but that is less of a priority for us. Thanks!

Question About Bynder API Usage

I am currently using Bynder API (/api/v4/media/) to retrieve assets and save the information into our system. But I cannot catch the images which were deleted in website because from what I saw, the assets will not return by API when it was deleted in website. So, I would like to know how I can catch those deleted images by API.

Embed Bynder Content

Hello everyone,I am currently working on integrating media from Bynder into my website. My goal is to allow users to access these media via embedded links without needing to log in to Bynder. However, in my Bynder interface, I only see the Secure Embed option, which requires authentication to display the media.My questions are as follows:Public Media Integration:While reviewing the documentation, I noticed that embedded links are available here: Embed Bynder Content, but I don't see this option for my media. I only have the Secure Embed option. What can I do to enable this feature?I also tried making the assets public, but it seems that this option is not visible to me either.Download Links for Non-Logged-In Users:I want my non-logged-in users to receive a direct download link for a specific media file based on its ID. Asset Workflow Usability

Does anyone use Asset/Creative Workflow?Having used Bynder DAM in a small creative agency for a number of years we have always been keen to incorporate the workflow module to streamline how we work with clients and integrate better with the DAM.Unfortunately, any attempts to use it have been abandoned due to it being hard to use. The most noticeable issue has been the asset review page. The zoom feature never works, so small text is hard to read. Comments are inaccurate (probably because you can’t zoom). Unable to rotate artwork, which is not ideal if reviewing packaging. I have already spoken to Bynder about reviewing multipage PDFs and have been advised against it, which I can accept and workaround but we still struggle to use this module. It would be great to hear thoughts from other users as it doesn’t appear that Bynder are making any improvements. Do you use the integrated Asset Workflow or do you use an alternative reviewing platform?

Set the size of assets (images) through the API

When I call /api/v4/media?type=image, the URL in the webimage field always returns an image with a size of 600x600. Is there a way for me to modify this size? For example, I would like to retrieve images with a size of 800x800.

We have just discovered that on 9/21 Media Items stopped being returned using the API in our production environment.  Update this is not a SNS issue it is a media items issue.

Adding Assets to a public Online Collection that you don't own

Hi All, PLEASE Can you help me figure out why I'm struggling to do this simple procedure. I took over the Administration of our Bynder Portal at the beginning of this year and following a big push to get all our assets into Bynder, I now need to add a large amount of display files to a public collection my predecessor created before leaving. This collection is one of the tiles on the landing page of our Bynder Portal. I pulled up all the "Display File" assets and began the process of adding them to the collection, however, I see every other collection option except the one I need.I then did some research in the Bynder knowledge base and found the details to transfer ownership, so that I can have access to add more assets. I began the process and as the Admin, I'm able to pull up the collection under my predecessor's name and I'm able to select it, and I'm able to start the transfer process, HOWEVER, when I need to select a name of someone to transfer it too, I don't find any of the nam

[How to] Retrieve all collections through multithread without duplication

Hi, Backgroundi am the admin for company bynder portal, i tried to retrieve around 3k of collections through API by looping through page (/api/v4/collections/?limit=1&page={number}) until no result ProblemI used multithread to request, but will occurtotal records fall shorts, meaning total 3k, but in the end i will only get around 2.5k duplication (multiple records with same id been requested) QuestionHow can i request all bynder collection accurately without duplication  thanksJonathan

Duplicate Finder Issue

We are having an issue when very similar files are showing up in our duplicate finder. We have many images with only a slight difference in them. I wish there was an option to ignore when file names are different. Here are lifestyle images with different file names that showed up as duplicates  If we want to keep both I guess they will forever show up on our duplicate finder list. Which after a while makes it time consuming to manage.Is anyone else having an issue with this, and does anyone have a work around?My apologies if this has been brought up before. Thanks, Glenn Bassett

Embed Collection lightbox display issues on mobile

I’ve run into an issue when embedding a collection on a web page. It works fine on desktop, but on mobile view, the lightbox popup doesn’t scale to fit the screen, and essentially crops off the image, only showing the right hand info box and download button.Has anyone found a fix for this?

Bynder search fails to find images using filename

HI, We have a problem where when we search for an image using the filename, sometimes that image won’t appear--even though it is in Bynder (and approved). I can search for something else and I will find that image. Then when I come back to search for the original image that didn’t show up in my search, it is present and I get search results. This is quite an infuriating problem as we use Bynder for images on our website and sometimes we get missing image even though they are in Bynder and have shown up before (or the other images show up).
