Hi all,

I know that currently it’s not possible to automatically trigger other taxonomy selections based on one chosen option, but I wanted to ask whether this would be useful for others as well.

For example:

If a user selects optinion A at one metaproperty XX,
it would automatically trigger selecting other selected options at metaproperty YY .

We would benefit from it in use cases where the logic is always the same, and it could help reduce manual steps and avoid inconsistencies.

Would this kind of dependency / automation between taxonomy fields be valuable for your teams too?

Curious to hear if we’re the only ones who would benefit from this 😊

you’re not alone, but not limited to 1 metaproperty being selected. This would greatly speed up the tagging if you could select metaproperty xx and have metaproperty yy, zz, vv,ww selected so that the person uploading immediately can select the options, saving the middlestep and reducing missing metaproperties that are not mandatory but should be tagged. You can’t make everything mandatory but you can guide the user to fill in everything correctly.

Would this be some sort of automation enhancement?

If I understand your question correctly then I believe its on the roadmap for review, there was another thread going around recently very similar in nature to this:

I am very keen for auto selecting options based on other selections. I hide a lot of options depending on a users role, some of those users end up with a mandatory field with only one value they can choose from, I’d imagine it’s very frustrating for them. In those cases, I’d love to hide the metaproperty completely and auto tag it by default.
