Ok, here’s one that maybe is niche to our use of Bynder. Would it be helpful to anybody else if there was a toggle for multilingual search? So that if somebody wants to just search in English (or Spanish, or French, etc), they can do so. Or make it an option that’s handled on the back end by admins.
Right now, if you have translated taxonomy terms, they are indexed no matter what language you have the DAM set to. We encountered a scenario where we wanted to be able to search sachets (little pouches containing a product) in our DAM, but got a whole bunch of things labeled bags. The culprit turned out to be our French taxonomy, which had Sachet as the translation for Bag. Now I can see plenty of use cases where you’d want multilingual search in the DAM, but when you just want to search the things that have been labeled “sachets” in English, it causes problems. Would having the ability to switch this functionality on or off be useful to anybody else?
