I often hear customers talking about the challenge of keeping up with the growing demands for content that's resulted from the increasing number of channels and end user touch points where content is delivered. Not to mention, consumers continue to have higher expectations for personalized, relevant content, which complicates this even more. Many of them are conquering this chaos and complexity through efforts to scale their content operations and through an API-connected ecosystem to automate content distribution to speed up their time to market.I always love hearing from our customers about how Bynder is enabling commerce and helping you deliver exceptional content experiences. I'd love to hear how Bynder fits into your digital strategy? Have you taken steps to integrate your DAM with other systems? Are you starting to think about it and want to hear more from other customers or the Bynder team?
As an Onboarding Manager, I work with a lot of teams in setting up their portals from the ground up. While we do make Onboarding as easy and even enjoyable as possible, it's also a collaborative effort between us and the client. As we always say--we will be the expert on all things Bynder, and your team will have to show up as the expert in all things related to your own assets, data, and restrictions. After a couple of years of working with clients day in and day out, here's what I've learned about what they should know and prepare for even before their kick off call: Audit your assets. Even a quick audit of your assets would be helpful prior to starting your Onboarding process--just to give you an idea of what assets you have. This will later on help you determine what assets you want to keep in Bynder, and what assets could be stored elsewhere if needed. Knowing what assets you have will also give you a leg up in determining possible metadata and restrictions about your assets! Fi

Hi there - I’m Catherine and I lead our US Bynder Success Squad. We get a lot of questions about how DAM compares to file-sharing solutions like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. This post covered some of the key differences. And here are a few other differences that are particularly relevant to customers with smaller teams:DAM is designed to minimize support requests: When you’re on a small marketing or brand team, or managing the DAM is only one of the many (many) hats you wear, minimizing the number of requests you get for assets is the dream! Through the use of structured data, DAMs are designed to help your users find what they need when they need it. Those users can use their own search terms and filtering to reach the right assets, and not have to rely on a rigid, predefined folder path. Groups & Restrictions: Permissioning and visibility restrictions are core to DAM, so you can have confidence that your teams have the right access to the right content. Via groups and restric
Earlier this Fall I posted about a presentation I was putting together called ‘The 15 metrics most critical to DAM success’ and asked for the Community to weigh in, and some of you did! That was really helpful and interesting to get different perspectives on which metrics you find most valuable for your DAM. Here is the video recording of that session I did with Henry Stewart. If you get a few minutes, give it a watch so we can hear what you think and which metrics stand out to you!
DAM plus cloud storage. Is it one or the other? Or is it greater than the sum of its parts? This article highlights a few key differences between DAM and cloud storage solutions (like Google Drive, Box, or Dropbox). A few items stood out to me to differentiate the two: Focus- I love this: “Cloud storage primarily focuses on the user, while a DAM system focuses more on the assets themselves”. With cloud storage, the user defines most of the sharing and rights, naming, etc. but DAM puts the asset at the center: based on data about your assets, the right people automatically have the right access. Metadata- With DAM, the structured application of data about your assets allows for more flexibility in searching, greater insights about the assets you actually have (and use), and easier content management. Metadata also allows you to link and relate assets that are otherwise lost to each other, saving time and money to reproduce content you might already have on hand. Automation - Because
DAM is a critically important technology in your marketing ecosystem driven by the exponential growth of content.Whether you have a DAM as a brand portal for users to access assets, it's part of a broader content operation to speed up execution and time to market - or if your DAM is the system of record for a complex connected ecosystem, you've made a great investment. As you continue to drive adoption of your DAM with your current use case, you should also consider ways to drive even more value. Think about your current pain points, how you'll benefit from solving them and what it would take to get there. You may be doing the same repetitive task manually, like updating assets on your website, and it's time consuming. What if you could streamline that task and work more efficiently by automatically delivering optimized assets? How you'd get there? Integrate with your CMS and consider Bynder's Dynamic Asset Transformation. If you don't know how to start thinking about the opportunities yo
If you're looking for a way to get even more value from Bynder, here's a simple recommendation: give more users access to your DAM to find and download files. It could be users from within your organization, third party partners and distributors or both. More users drive ROI. Here's why:Improved collaboration: if everyone knows exactly where to access assets from, you can reduce administrative tasks and streamline your processes. Your teams can work smarter and find assets faster, saving them valuable time. Consolidate systems: having different teams on different systems is inefficient and creates silos. Bringing more users onto Bynder can help ensure you don't have redundant systems - and that you're not spending money on something else you don't need. Brand consistency: having a system of record where all of your users can easily access finished assets ensures that your team isn't looking for logos "in the wild". Think: if someone on your team doesn't know where to find your logo, th

If you're reading this, I'd be willing to bet you have a website. Or maybe multiple websites. And that you're also serving content to multiple channels beyond your website, like social channels or email. If you haven't yet integrated other systems in your marketing tech stack to your Bynder DAM, there are countless benefits to making those connections. Not least of which, is that automating these processes will help you work more efficiently - we know that is always important but it's especially important in a time like now when everyone is looking to do more with less. Some of you need to scale in the most cost effective way possible; others aim to be more efficient in places you've already invested in. Either way, integrating is something you should consider. On top of that, if you use Bynder's Dynamic Asset Transformation to automatically serve optimized, highly performant images to your website, not only will you gain operational efficiencies by saving time on things like development
There's so much value in having a DAM and we've heard from many of you that they have confidence in the return you're getting on your investment in Bynder. If you're reading this, you likely have a key role in getting the most value from the DAM at your organization so you'd probably be interested to know that we've also heard from our customers that when faced with some of the challenges of a down economy, they're getting more value from their DAM then ever before. Why? Because when you're facing economic headwinds, you need to do more with less. And you need to work more efficiently and improve collaboration because you may have less budget and resources. Your strategic priorities don't stop and neither does your need to keep your brand consistent across channels and deliver exceptional content experiences to your customers. Bynder helps with scalability, efficiency and business continuity all the time but especially during a challenging time like now. Ways you can get more value:Get m
Hi everyone, I'm doing a session in November for Henry Stewart (hope to see some of you there). It's titled “The 15 metrics most critical to DAM success” - but let me tell you something between me, you, and the community: I don’t have all 15 nailed down yet!! I feel like there are so many to choose from, this will have to be a well curated list. So let me ask openly here: if you were me, what would your top 2-3 be?
Hey everyone, it's been a little while so I thought I'd check in about the holidays. Yes, the holidays. And yes, in the middle of the summer. For some people it might seem weird to be thinking about the holiday season in August. But I'm sure many of you are already in the thick of it because of all the planning and coordination that goes into your holiday campaigns. In fact, I'm sure a lot of you are not only thinking about it right now but are deep in execution. With the growing number of channels and touch points where you want to reach your customers, there's a lot going on. You have the creative part of the campaign that needs to cut through the noise and win the mindshare (and hearts) of consumers - and we know that tons of work goes into that. Then there's figuring out how to take your concept and make it a reality. To do this, you need to create personalized content at scale and deliver exceptional content experiences, all in a way that drives speed of execution, scale, time to
We recently published this Bynder customer story for Queensland Health, a healthcare provider in the APAC region. It’s amazing to see the efficiencies and savings their team has introduced, but doubly inspiring is the speed of execution they achieved during critical Covid-19 moments. Here’s my favorite exceprt:“Recently, we had a photo and video shoot where kids were getting their vaccines for the first time. We were able to share the photos and video interviews with hospitals across the state on the very same day. So Bynder has really made it more accessible for our stakeholders to get information and assets quickly.”Better collaboration” - Rohan Young, Creative Team Lead Who else leveraged Bynder for a Covid-19 related initiative?
