It is super frustrating how autocomplete doesn’t finish what I am typing but instead searches for the text I am typing and goes for the alpha-order tag that has those letters in it vs what is closest to what I am actually typing. For example, if I type “Survey” it will autocomplete to “Alumni Survey” since “A” is alpha first. This isn’t helpful, if I wanted to tag Alumni Survey I would have typed Alumni first. Often I hit return to autocomplete or accidentally click on the first option when I don’t mean to. It’s very rare that I wouldn’t get the exact word right, and in those instances I would rather it list those options last that match the word but don’t start like how I typed. Another example, when I type “Line”, “Application Deadline, Apply Online, License Pipeline” all come up before “Line” itself. See attached images.

If your portal is set up to create derivatives, then the blue download button on the single asset page's information pane defaults to "Download all files." Our DAM users would 9/10 times require the original asset, and in most cases, our derivatives are for use by downstream platforms automatically picked up in the back end by our API. The option to have the default download setting on the single asset page information pane set to "Download file" instead of its current "Download all files (9)" initiating the download of all our nine derivatives would be a more logical workflow for our users. (Please refer to the screen grabs.)  Have other Bynder customers found this to be the case, and has there been any other feedback regarding this current functionality state?

Hi all,Does any know how get the photos’s GPS information (in the Exif, latitude, and longitude) via API? When I used the WebUI to upload the photos, it auto mapped in the Map/GPS columns in Bynder. However, I cannot find it from the API return.Cheers

Hi, Anyone else experiencing the same issues in studio re being able to rotate images? Apparently you can only do so in the editor tool which is for an admin/creator. But for a user, it’s not allowed. Kind of silly if you ask me! I’ve had to encourage our users to do it via an external program and reupload the asset. If anyone has found a better way to do it, that would be great. But otherwise, I’d love to see something as simple as this be included in a product development. Thanks!

Hi together,it would be very helpful if you can also use the Related Asset function when doing a mass upload. That is, we would like to have the function that we already specify in the CSV file which of the images are in turn related during the upload. Maybe others in the community feel the same way? I would be happy if the topic could perhaps be developed.Thanks in Advance. :)

Hi, we are using the Bynder API to pull PDFs to our website. It’s been working fine but we set up a new user ‘Level 4’ and for some reason even though the PDF ‘Usage Rights’ is set to Public the ‘original’ link is not showing in the API. When I check this Asset in Postman it’s showing ‘isPublic=0’ when it should be 1. Earlier I checked Level 4 user permissions and ‘mark assets as public’ was not selected. Which is weird because the person had marked them as public already. Anyways, I checked this box but it didn’t make a difference. Bottom line is I have the Asset set to Public but in the API it still says isPublic=0. Can someone let me know if I’m missing something here?

It’s driving my team crazy that the text boxes we create in Studio have no control over how much text people who customize the text can put in it. They can just keep adding and adding way beyond the confines of the text box. I can’t imagine a circumstance where that is helpful versus allowing us to control how much text goes in a template like it used to do in digital brand templates. As you can see below the text shouldn’t be able to go over the space for the generic sponsor logo or over the lines on the bottom. I know there is a workaround where you can make a mask so text would disappear if it is too long, but that feels like a whole lot of work for something that should be automatic, just confine them to the text box we create! Would love to be given more control over this soon, thanks! 

Hi,I would like to create a web link with an SVG file.Once image is uploaded to Bynder it remains as an SVG file however, the link produced is converted to a jpg.The issue this is causing is that the image is loosing it’s transparent background. If is possible to create weblinks as an svg? Or do I need to change the format of the image? Thank you! 

I’m working with the Bynder API and have a custom field on my website to enter Bynder Media ID and using PHP CURL wih Bynder Oauth 2.0 App to get token and using Media ID to return the PDF. If I do just this https://brandcentral.cambiumnetworks.com/api/v4/media/<BYNDER-MEDIA-ID> i only get access to thumbnail of the PDF but not PDF file itself.If I do this:https://brandcentral.cambiumnetworks.com/api/v4/media/<BYNDER-MEDIA-ID>/download/?type=originalit returns json with ‘s3_file’: ‘URL to PDF’ which seems to work. however when I use this in my template on a link it downloads the PDF successfully on desktop BUT on mobile (I tested on iPhone) it doesn’t work. Is there a way to just get link to PDF without it downloading automatically. So if I want to add the PDF url to a link and open in a new tab or window that works. If not, how to make this work on mobile? thanks for any help. best,Kurt

Hello guys!I am given a shared collection URL because I need to get the assets on it using javascript code.If I want to get info from those assets, is it mandatory to have the account credentials and use the oauth flow? or is there any trick to get the assets’ info with the shared url collection ?
