What Adobe connector am I using?

Bynder has two similar available plugins to access your files from Adobe Creative Cloud applications:Bynder CC Connector and LinkrUI. They are distinct applications with varying features. Hi everyone! In 2 weeks I’m doing a Retail focused podcast with OmniTalk, and it’s focused on the role your digital assets play in big Retail events, such as Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up. So I thought: who better to ask than some Bynder customers in that space who have lived and breathed these campaigns in the past, and may even be doing so right now for this year’s events!! You can sync assets from a Cloud Storage service to Bynder, say what!?

Many of our customers have shared that cloud storage services like Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox are an integral part of their day-to-day processes. They have asked for a more seamless way to connect with these cloud-based storage services and simplify syncing of their assets. As a result, we have developed a connector for Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox. With these integrations, users can sync finalized assets from a chosen folder to Bynder for use across their organization. How does it work? Configuration is simple. Configure the connector from within Bynder’s settings, selecting the folder or folders to be served. When an asset is added to the folder or folders configured, it will be sent to the Waiting Room to await admin approval and assignment of metadata.What’s the result? Bynder continues to serve as your one source of truth for finalized assets.Time is the most precious asset we have, with this integration you will no longer have to manually download and then re-upload these a

There are a ton of AI technologies, albeit, most are very new and in beta, out there today. At Bynder, we’re approaching the use and implementation of AI to focus on the actual positive impact a particular AI technology can have on your day-to-day operations. Some things are not applicable for a DAM. For example, Adobe’s Firefly technology which utilizes generative visual AI to create content variations, are great for creative tools, but not for a DAM. We integrate very well with Adobe, therefore, once you create such assets, you can push them into our DAM using the integration, etc. At Bynder, automation and AI (that actually makes your life easier and saves you time) are integral to our products. LinkrUI: Integration FAQ's & Tips

Are you using any of the Adobe Creative Cloud products or Microsoft Office 365? This is intended to help you understand more about the LinkrUI integration and its capabilities. LinkrUI is a plugin for the Adobe Creative Suite connecting InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, and AfterEffects with both Bynder DAM and Webdam products.  Users are able to interface with their DAM directly through the Adobe Creative Cloud product.  Assets used in projects are synchronized from the DAM, eliminating the need for manual updates of layouts when changes happen.The plugin was created so that users can save time by editing metadata and tags from within Adobe CC and/or Microsoft Office 365, preventing workflows from being disrupted. Just Download Asset Metadata with the CSV Metadata Download Feature!

“Has this ever happened to you?” You want to view and use the metadata in your assets in outside of Bynder but when you go to download a CSV of your metadata it downloads the physical assets along with the metadata?  If the answer is yes, we understand how frustrating this can be. As an onboarding manager, I have heard from many customers asking about this and I’m sure many of you have as well. We are proud to say those days are over. That’s why we recently introduced the ability to download just the metadata information to a CSV without downloading the physical assets. Now, you can view the metadata of your assets via the comfort of the CSV you always wanted without having to constantly download the assets along with it. Downloading metadata of your assets can be useful in a number of ways. Portal User Management UIThank you Bynder, for reworking the User Management interface. This is now far easier to work with.Interface remembers your fields Interface remembers your filtering optionsBefore these changes it was incredible difficult to use this and manage DAM users, if you wanted to edit a user and after you did so, returning back to the main page would reset the page to default removing all of your filters, you would have to reset them. eg. Status -Active/Inactive, Groups and Profile level.Another great improvement, keep it coming.

Introducing New Portal Theming Experience

Hi Bynder community 👋We are excited to announce a new feature that will give you more control over your portal's theming experience. We understand the importance of keeping your portal's look and feel on-brand, and until now, we have been involved in every custom theming request, and there was a cost associated with most of them.With our latest release, we are empowering you to make some changes yourself, without relying on us, and free of charge. What you really need to know before your kick off with Bynder

As an Onboarding Manager, I work with a lot of teams in setting up their portals from the ground up. While we do make Onboarding as easy and even enjoyable as possible, it's also a collaborative effort between us and the client. As we always say--we will be the expert on all things Bynder, and your team will have to show up as the expert in all things related to your own assets, data, and restrictions.After a couple of years of working with clients day in and day out, here's what I've learned about what they should know and prepare for even before their kick off call:  Audit your assets. Even a quick audit of your assets would be helpful prior to starting your Onboarding process--just to give you an idea of what assets you have. This will later on help you determine what assets you want to keep in Bynder, and what assets could be stored elsewhere if needed. DAM vs. File Storage Solutions for Smaller Teams

Hi there - I’m Catherine and I lead our US Bynder Success Squad. We get a lot of questions about how DAM compares to file-sharing solutions like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. This post covered some of the key differences. Did you know: you can access your DAM via a Chrome extension

You can now access Bynder’s UCV (Universal Compact View) via a Google Chrome extension. Here’s more info in the Knowledge Base. It brings your assets and collections (and derivatives!) to wherever you’re working without needing to switch to a separate browser to login and search for assets. It’s SO easy to set up- took me less than 20 seconds.
