Are you using any of the Adobe Creative Cloud products or Microsoft Office 365? This is intended to help you understand more about the LinkrUI integration and its capabilities. LinkrUI is a plugin for the Adobe Creative Suite connecting InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, and AfterEffects with both Bynder DAM and Webdam products.  Users are able to interface with their DAM directly through the Adobe Creative Cloud product.  Assets used in projects are synchronized from the DAM, eliminating the need for manual updates of layouts when changes happen.The plugin was created so that users can save time by editing metadata and tags from within Adobe CC and/or Microsoft Office 365, preventing workflows from being disrupted. Just Download Asset Metadata with the CSV Metadata Download Feature!

“Has this ever happened to you?” You want to view and use the metadata in your assets in outside of Bynder but when you go to download a CSV of your metadata it downloads the physical assets along with the metadata?  If the answer is yes, we understand how frustrating this can be. As an onboarding manager, I have heard from many customers asking about this and I’m sure many of you have as well. We are proud to say those days are over. That’s why we recently introduced the ability to download just the metadata information to a CSV without downloading the physical assets. Now, you can view the metadata of your assets via the comfort of the CSV you always wanted without having to constantly download the assets along with it. Downloading metadata of your assets can be useful in a number of ways. Portal User Management UIThank you Bynder, for reworking the User Management interface. This is now far easier to work with.Interface remembers your fields Interface remembers your filtering optionsBefore these changes it was incredible difficult to use this and manage DAM users, if you wanted to edit a user and after you did so, returning back to the main page would reset the page to default removing all of your filters, you would have to reset them. eg. Status -Active/Inactive, Groups and Profile level.Another great improvement, keep it coming.

Introducing New Portal Theming Experience

What you really need to know before your kick off with Bynder

As an Onboarding Manager, I work with a lot of teams in setting up their portals from the ground up. While we do make Onboarding as easy and even enjoyable as possible, it's also a collaborative effort between us and the client. As we always say--we will be the expert on all things Bynder, and your team will have to show up as the expert in all things related to your own assets, data, and restrictions.After a couple of years of working with clients day in and day out, here's what I've learned about what they should know and prepare for even before their kick off call:  Audit your assets. Even a quick audit of your assets would be helpful prior to starting your Onboarding process--just to give you an idea of what assets you have. This will later on help you determine what assets you want to keep in Bynder, and what assets could be stored elsewhere if needed. DAM vs. File Storage Solutions for Smaller Teams

Hi there - I’m Catherine and I lead our US Bynder Success Squad. We get a lot of questions about how DAM compares to file-sharing solutions like Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. This post covered some of the key differences. Did you know: you can access your DAM via a Chrome extension

You can now access Bynder’s UCV (Universal Compact View) via a Google Chrome extension. Here’s more info in the Knowledge Base. It brings your assets and collections (and derivatives!) to wherever you’re working without needing to switch to a separate browser to login and search for assets. It’s SO easy to set up- took me less than 20 seconds.

DAM and cloud storage - how are they different? How do they work together?

DAM plus cloud storage. Is it one or the other? Or is it greater than the sum of its parts?  This article highlights a few key differences between DAM and cloud storage solutions (like Google Drive, Box, or Dropbox). A few items stood out to me to differentiate the two: Focus- I love this: “Cloud storage primarily focuses on the user, while a DAM system focuses more on the assets themselves”. With cloud storage, the user defines most of the sharing and rights, naming, etc. but DAM puts the asset at the center: based on data about your assets, the right people automatically have the right access.  Metadata- With DAM, the structured application of data about your assets allows for more flexibility in searching, greater insights about the assets you actually have (and use), and easier content management. Metadata also allows you to link and relate assets that are otherwise lost to each other, saving time and money to reproduce content you might already have on hand.  Automation - Because

New feature release: Smart filters are now much faster!

We are so excited to share that the Smart filter performance just got an upgrade! The Smart filters of the type smart-single (those that have multiple lists) will now load and open faster. What’s changed? Essentially it looks and behaves the same, but now you won’t experience a delay in opening your Smart Filters. We revamped part of the back-end and front-end to load options beforehand, resulting in a speedy page load and instant open. Under certain conditions, it took 8 seconds to load a Smart Filter. We’ve reduced that to instantly, to help increase our user's productivity.Why? We know that delays in Smart Filter performance have been causing headaches and slowed loads and we wanted you to have a better experience! It was more than that initial click of opening a Smart Filter. When users would do ‘clear filters’, re-opening the Smart Filter would again lead to a wait. Another reason we took into account is the growing amount of metadata that we see customers wanting to store inside

Saving costs, diversifying creator base with Studio

Hey everyone,  Last week the Bynder team did a webinar centered around our Studio product. We covered:Trends in content creation that we’re hearing, specific to the present moment as brands close out 2022, focus on 2023, with the backdrop of a tougher economy and constrained resources. What we hear most often is an objective to reduce agency spend, consolidate systems, and diversify the content creator base. Down economy or not, brands still need to personalize to their most valuable customer segments…its just that now, in order to get there, many brands are reimagining their content creation process.  A business case for Bynder DAM + Studio put together earlier this year by GoHealth (image below).
