How to: Favorite (subscribe to) content and get notified about new topics or new replies in the thread.

Each time you start a new topic you will automatically be notified via email when that topic receives a reply.You can also subscribe to categories to make sure you don’t miss out on any new topics added.Open the category and then you’ll see a button that says Subscribe.To subscribe to a particular topic within the category, you will need to click the star icon at the bottom of the post that says Subscribe. Once you click it will turn blue to let you know that you are now subscribed. To unsubscribe you’ll just click the same Subscribe button, and it will then turn grey to let you know that you are no longer subscribed. You can find a list of the topics you are subscribed to by clicking on your profile image and selecting ‘Topics’This will show you how many topics you are subscribed to and a list of each one.

New feature release: Blend modes in Studio

With Studio, one of the newest features that stands out to me the most is Blend modes! Why? While I am no designer, when I saw a demo of blend modes in action I was in awe. It allows users to make more complex and richer compositions. It also increases your ability to recreate specific effects that originate from other design tools, like Photoshop.What does this mean for you? Users can change the look of their visuals by selecting a blend mode that determines how the colors of a layer blend with colors on underlying layers. Let's enjoy the roadmap

There’s a lot of cool stuff on Bynder’s product roadmap. Let’s talk about it! I do appreciate the increased transparency around the product development this year, because I often have onboarding clients who want to know when the features they need will happen, but also because I just enjoy thinking about and using new features myself.  Anyway the in process roadmap item I’m most hype for is the integrations with Google Drive, Box and Dropbox. Tile for new cloud storage options: google drive, box, dropboxIf an onboarding client doesn’t already have another DAM, they almost always have Dropbox/Box/Drive and ask me if there’s an easy way to migrate assets from all their myriad folders into the DAM. From what I hear the Drive integration will act like a hotfolder: if you put a supported file type in there, Bynder will upload it to the waiting room for approval.There’s a bunch of other integrations on the way too, Hootsuite, Stensul, Sprinklr, and Microsoft Office. How to: Creating a Question post versus Conversation post

I frequently get asked the question - What’s the difference between a Question and a Conversation? I thought I’d take a moment to shed some light on the topic. If you are looking for best practices on further creating a topic, check out this post. Create Question posts - for when you have a Question that needs an answerAsk yourself, does your question require an answer? If so, you will want to create a question. You will later be asked to select a ‘Best Answer’ for your question. This is important because it helps us understand if you have the information you need to succeed. Create Conversation posts - for when you want to share something or start a discussionHave a cool use case story you want to share with us? An integration or connect ecosystem discussion that would be meaningful to share? If you are looking to share something or start a discussion, creating a conversation is the right route here.

New feature release: Asset Zoom Slider in Collections

Have you heard the news? Asset Zoom Slider is now available in Collections! We checked in with our Group Product Manager, @Laurens Kalf, and here’s what he had to say about this feature release.  There was a big ask from customers to be able to view either smaller or larger 'thumbnails', previews, in the asset overview in the Bynder asset bank. The reasons for this were different per customer. Some of them wanted to be able to see more, smaller, assets in one glance. Other customers actually wanted to be able to see more detail on their images as they scrolled through their asset bank. Therefore we introduced this functionality first for the asset overview. The response we got was very positive! Thanks to the positive customer reactions, we decided to bring this feature to collections as well since we got feedback from customers that they would like to leverage this same functionality in collections. So I'm excited that we have been able to bring this innovation that is received very w

 In order to send a new private message you must go to the users profile and click the button ‘Send message”To find our previously sent messages and conversations you click on your profile image icon in the top right corner of the page and click the ‘Private messages’ folder.

Bynder + Canva: the easiest integration ever

If you want to use your Bynder images in Canva designs, this is the easiest integration ever.There's a Bynder icon box in Canva under "more.” Click it, and then all you have to do is login to your portal, put the portal url in Canva, and your assets and collections will appear, available for placement Click the Bynder icon. Queensland Health leveraging Bynder during Covid-19

We recently published this Bynder customer story for Queensland Health, a healthcare provider in the APAC region. It’s amazing to see the efficiencies and savings their team has introduced, but doubly inspiring is the speed of execution they achieved during critical Covid-19 moments. Here’s my favorite exceprt:“Recently, we had a photo and video shoot where kids were getting their vaccines for the first time. We were able to share the photos and video interviews with hospitals across the state on the very same day. DAT has a new UI

I am obsessed with the new DAT (Dynamic Asset Transformation) UI. It just launched this week, and it lives in the asset detail view under “transformations.”  Look how easy this is. Just “add transformation” on the sidebar, fiddle around with the settings, and instantly get the preview and the DAT live link below.I know most of my onboarding clients just want to crop and resize to a focal point (DAT does this on the fly where automated derivates cannot), but the Bynder devs added so many fun transformations, it’s tempting to use them at once and commit crimes against design like this one. Screenshot of the DAT transformations UI, with a preview of an asset of a dog sniffing a bananaDAT Link for my dog fine artTalk to your Customer Success Manager if you want to demo or purchase DAT, or if you have the DAT module and need the transformation UI feature turned on in your portal.

You can control the email notifications you receive from the Community, to ensure you see what matters most to you. 💌General settings for notifications You receive notifications of topics or categories which you have selected as Favorites. Topics you have started are set as Favorites by default, but you can change this in the settings on your Profile page:Note: This will not unsubscribe you when you have subscribed to an entire category. You have the option to subscribe or unsubscribe in each category.  Notifications for specific topics You can follow an individual topic by clicking the Follow Topic button at the bottom of the post.

When you see a topic or a comment you think needs to be reported, click the three dots on the bottom right of a post, and click on "Flag": Why should a post be reported? How to: Add images and videos to your posts

Want to share photos or videos?   Upload imagesYou can upload images to your post by clicking on the small camera icon in the text editor: All common file formats for images are supported (.png, .jpg, .gif)When you upload your image file, it will automatically embed into your post. You can move it by hovering over the image and clicking on the [+] icon that appears at the top left corner of the image, then dragging the image to the correct line in the post.  Embed videos Adding videos to your post can be done by clicking on the ellipses icon in the text editor:And then select “Embed Media” from the menu that appears. You can add videos from Youtube, Vimeo ,and Dailymotion by pasting the original video url.
