Bynder has two similar available plugins to access your files from Adobe Creative Cloud applications:Bynder CC Connector and LinkrUI. They are distinct applications with varying features. You can sync assets from a Cloud Storage service to Bynder, say what!?

Many of our customers have shared that cloud storage services like Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox are an integral part of their day-to-day processes. They have asked for a more seamless way to connect with these cloud-based storage services and simplify syncing of their assets. As a result, we have developed a connector for Google Drive, Box, and Dropbox. With these integrations, users can sync finalized assets from a chosen folder to Bynder for use across their organization. How does it work? Configuration is simple. Configure the connector from within Bynder’s settings, selecting the folder or folders to be served. When an asset is added to the folder or folders configured, it will be sent to the Waiting Room to await admin approval and assignment of metadata.What’s the result? There are a ton of AI technologies, albeit, most are very new and in beta, out there today. At Bynder, we’re approaching the use and implementation of AI to focus on the actual positive impact a particular AI technology can have on your day-to-day operations. Are you using any of the Adobe Creative Cloud products or Microsoft Office 365? Just Download Asset Metadata with the CSV Metadata Download Feature!

“Has this ever happened to you?” You want to view and use the metadata in your assets in outside of Bynder but when you go to download a CSV of your metadata it downloads the physical assets along with the metadata?  If the answer is yes, we understand how frustrating this can be. As an onboarding manager, I have heard from many customers asking about this and I’m sure many of you have as well. We are proud to say those days are over. That’s why we recently introduced the ability to download just the metadata information to a CSV without downloading the physical assets. Now, you can view the metadata of your assets via the comfort of the CSV you always wanted without having to constantly download the assets along with it. Downloading metadata of your assets can be useful in a number of ways. Portal User Management UIThank you Bynder, for reworking the User Management interface. This is now far easier to work with.Interface remembers your fields Interface remembers your filtering optionsBefore these changes it was incredible difficult to use this and manage DAM users, if you wanted to edit a user and after you did so, returning back to the main page would reset the page to default removing all of your filters, you would have to reset them. eg. Status -Active/Inactive, Groups and Profile level.Another great improvement, keep it coming.

Did you know: you can access your DAM via a Chrome extension

You can now access Bynder’s UCV (Universal Compact View) via a Google Chrome extension. Here’s more info in the Knowledge Base. It brings your assets and collections (and derivatives!) to wherever you’re working without needing to switch to a separate browser to login and search for assets. It’s SO easy to set up- took me less than 20 seconds.

New feature release: Smart filters are now much faster!

We are so excited to share that the Smart filter performance just got an upgrade! The Smart filters of the type smart-single (those that have multiple lists) will now load and open faster. What’s changed? Essentially it looks and behaves the same, but now you won’t experience a delay in opening your Smart Filters. We revamped part of the back-end and front-end to load options beforehand, resulting in a speedy page load and instant open. Under certain conditions, it took 8 seconds to load a Smart Filter. We’ve reduced that to instantly, to help increase our user's productivity.Why? We know that delays in Smart Filter performance have been causing headaches and slowed loads and we wanted you to have a better experience! It was more than that initial click of opening a Smart Filter. Saving costs, diversifying creator base with Studio

Hey everyone,  Last week the Bynder team did a webinar centered around our Studio product. We covered:Trends in content creation that we’re hearing, specific to the present moment as brands close out 2022, focus on 2023, with the backdrop of a tougher economy and constrained resources. What we hear most often is an objective to reduce agency spend, consolidate systems, and diversify the content creator base. Down economy or not, brands still need to personalize to their most valuable customer segments…its just that now, in order to get there, many brands are reimagining their content creation process.  A business case for Bynder DAM + Studio put together earlier this year by GoHealth (image below). They highlighted the need to better enable stakeholders, open up bandwidth for new strategic initiatives, and avoid the need for additional resources. With Studio, one of the newest features that stands out to me the most is Blend modes! Why? While I am no designer, when I saw a demo of blend modes in action I was in awe. It allows users to make more complex and richer compositions. It also increases your ability to recreate specific effects that originate from other design tools, like Photoshop.What does this mean for you? Users can change the look of their visuals by selecting a blend mode that determines how the colors of a layer blend with colors on underlying layers.
