Studio: Direct link to template categories

Hi Andy, the answer is yes to both!

First things first, an easy way to open the New design modal is to append this to your Bynder URL:

.../studio/#/designs?create=true

e.g. https://dam.bynder.com/studio/#/designs?create=true

Your creators/light users will see a menu of the categories and templates shared with them, but designers and admins will see the full set of options, including the ability to share. This works great from the homepage to quickly get users to select from the templates they can create from.

From that modal find the category or template you’d like to link directly to, click the three dots meatballs menu, and select Share. In the bottom left corner you’ll see a handy Copy link button which should be exactly what you’re looking for.

You’ll notice the URL structure starts the same as above with the following parameters added where CCCCC is category ID and TTTTT is template ID:

.../studio/#/designs?create=true&page=category_details&categoryId=CCCCC

.../studio/#/designs?create=true&template=TTTTT&page=template_preview

It can be quite useful to link directly to categories and/or templates from Guidelines.

Oh wow, that is helpful to know it exists, thanks! Would still love the homepage for digital templates to show all the categories if that’s an option that could be built in the future, but this helps for sending people direct links. Thanks!
