Extract the GPS information

Bynder automatically extracts the GPS metadata upon upload, and displays it on the asset detail screen. Unfortunately, GPS metadata cannot be retrieved via the API at this time.

I have added two custom fields and set the metadata tag as “GPSLatitude” and “GPSLongtutide” which could auto map the EXIF metadata from the image during upload. However, this approach only works on uploading the image via the Web screen. I need to manually configure the metaproperties with its properties ID and value via API call.

The GPS data automatically mapped in Bynder Web screen is following this pattern <“38 deg 21' 42.30" S ”> which is a transformed DMS format. It is not in DD (decimal degrees) or purely DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds) (i.e. [38, 21, 42.30]) so it will increase the integration difficulty when retrieves this value by API call (i.e. ‘/v4/media/’).

In addition, I cannot find the custom field after uploading the images in Web UI when I click into the photo. 

I am wondering if Bynder has a road map to provide the same function via API like auto mapping the EXIF from image metadata. The GPS data is a great example of different behaviour between WebUI and API call. The publication date has the same issue as well. If I do not set the value to the publication date before uploading it via API, the current time would be used instead of the exact dateTimeOriginal in the image (but Bynder Web use the image metadata dateTimeOriginal).
