Meet our newest selected Champion,
Tell us about your role & organization
I work as a Content Operations Manager. My background is in publishing and content management, so I’ve always felt at home being a nerd about things like taxonomy, metadata, and version control. That led me to the role I have now (where I can be a nerd freely), and a main part of that role is serving as the admin for our DAM. I love that each day holds a new challenge. I get to do all the classic admin functions near and dear to my heart (governance, permissions, training), but also plenty of discovery work on how we can leverage our DAM more effectively within our larger tech stack. There’s more uncertainty in that bigger-picture work, but I find I’m at my happiest when I get to focus on business outcomes first (an operational problem that needs solving, or an experience we want to be able to provide), and then think through what kind of tech choreography we need in place to make it happen.
Fun Fact
I live in New York (my wife and I got married in Central Park!).
Proud moment
Admins spend a lot of time evangelizing their tech and showcasing all the great things it can do, but it’s always a proud moment to see those benefits come to life and improve day-to-day operations. A designer uses a metadata preset to upload in 1 click, an asset is versioned in the DAM and updates automatically across all links/integrated platforms — these moments always make me shed a few happy admin tears. Finding better ways to manage, distribute, and measure the performance of our assets is what has always excited me about working in Content Operations, so it’s been extremely rewarding to see all the ways our DAM is unlocking that for the teams in our org and allowing us to work faster and smarter.
