Hi @dineshaeturi, thanks for taking the time to ask your question here! I believe the best way to support you is to open a support ticket on your behalf.
Hey @dineshaeturi , We have experienced a similar issue.
If you check the box “Use Filename as Title” it should force the original names back.
We were having this occur a lot with Illustrator files.
What I think it relates to is the original file name upon file creation, even if it is a temporary file name (prior to hitting Save / Save As and naming the file). Even though the file has a new name, for some reason, I think the system is somehow indexing and using the original temporary file name, which must be stored in a field somewhere.
Would love to see a fix for this though. I usually add this into my Contributor trainings.
Confirming what Kevin said, checking the box “Use Filename as Title” in the Uploader will force the system to use the original filename instead of the “Title” value (see explanation below).
If desired, we can enable a feature in the backend to have this box checked by default. Let your Customer Success Manager or Support know and they’ll take care of it for you.
@dineshaeturi What may be the case is that the files you were uploading contain a Title metadata field, which Bynder looks at first when uploading files and extracting metadata at the same time. If nothing is present, we’ll use the original filename instead. However, if there is a Title value, then this will be prioritized.
The below overview is from our Knowledge Base article, which explains the automatic metadata extraction upon uploading.
@dineshaeturi I was editing an asset and remembered this post. If you look into the properties of the file and find text in the Title section, that is where Bynder is sourcing the Title property by default. In the image below, the asset title would be set to Test.
You can delete the text in the Title section to solve the problem, or you can check Use filenames as title
